These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the TaoQi mobile application and this website at taoqi.app (together, the “Service”), operated by Shanghai Deqisuozai (“we”, “us”, “our”).

1. About TaoQi

TaoQi provides I Ching and Tao Te Ching content for reflection and personal growth. The Service is offered for informational and educational purposes. It is not medical, legal, financial, or professional advice. Readings are interpretive mirrors for reflection — not fixed predictions of the future.

2. No guaranteed outcomes

Readings and daily wisdom are interpretive tools. We do not guarantee specific results, events, or outcomes. You remain responsible for your own decisions and actions.

3. Accounts and purchases

Some features require an account or a paid unlock / subscription. On iOS, digital goods are sold through Apple In-App Purchase. On web (and other non-iOS paths where applicable), payments may be processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your Apple ID subscription settings. Refunds follow the applicable store or payment provider policies unless required otherwise by law.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• misuse, reverse engineer, or attempt to disrupt the Service;
• upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content;
• use the Service in a way that violates applicable laws or third-party rights.

5. Intellectual property

The TaoQi name, branding, app design, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy or redistribute them except as permitted by these Terms or with our written consent.

6. Third-party services

The Service may integrate third-party services (for example authentication, receipt validation, or payment processing). Their use is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
