This Privacy Policy explains how Beurbody (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the TaoQi mobile application and this website at taoqi.app (together, the “Service”).

1. Information we collect

Account information

If you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication data through our identity provider (Supabase Auth).

App usage and readings

When signed in, we may store your reading history and preferences so you can revisit past sessions across devices.

Purchase information

Purchases are processed by Stripe and/or mobile app stores. We receive transaction status and product identifiers, not full payment card numbers.

Technical data

We may collect basic device and log information (such as app version, operating system, and error logs) to keep the Service secure and reliable.

Launch waitlist

If you join our launch waitlist on taoqi.app, we collect your email address, the time you gave consent (consented_at), and optional campaign attribution data (such as utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, or a referral source label). We use this information only to send you TaoQi launch updates, including Web app access and TestFlight invitations when available. We do not sell waitlist data. You may unsubscribe or request deletion at any time by emailing beurbodyy@gmail.com.

2. How we use information

• provide and maintain the Service;
• authenticate users and sync reading history;
• process purchases and restore entitlements;
• respond to support requests;
• improve stability, security, and product quality.

3. What we do not do in v1.0

• We do not show third-party advertising in the TaoQi app.
• We do not sell your personal information.

4. Third-party processors

We use trusted providers to operate the Service, including:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting;
• Stripe — payment processing where applicable;
• Apple / Google — app distribution and in-app purchases where applicable.

Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy and applicable data protection terms.

5. Data retention

We retain account and reading data while your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location (including the EU/EEA under GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date when we do.
